Shamma is a shawl in black synthetic silk velvet. Across the back a parrot is embroidered by hand in bright colour, perched among bronze leaves, in synthetic silk and zari thread.

The shawl is lined in synthetic silk satin, and a long fringe of bronze synthetic silk, made by hand, runs around the edges and the hem.

Worn over a plain dress or a jalabiya, it turns as well as it faces. For Eid evenings, for a Ramadan suhoor, for a wedding.

The fabric is synthetic, eco-friendly and durable.
